Dudley Athletic 0 - 3 Telford Town

3 goals, but could have been more against a tough and well organised Athletic

After last weekend's annoyance it was back to league duties for Telford as they took on Dudley Athletic, a yellow card in the first minute from Jack Bradley after a late challenge and a bad attempted clearance by Corey Simner was blocked and it went just wide of the post in the 5th.

From that point on it was full throttle football for nearly 25 minutes from both sides as they both pushed for that first goal, with numerous chances being created before Ryan Mansell finally got the 1st of the game at 28 minutes.

A throw in to Andy Nicol which he held off defenders for, passes it on to No.18 who dinks it over the top for Ryan to finish.

After the goal it went back to both sides pushing, but no clear chances being created by either up until half time.

In the 2nd half Telford didn’t wait long as in the 49th minute Mansell bagged his second, hitting a sweet one from the edge of the box into the top corner.

63rd minute Andy Nicol steps up and hits a free kick straight into the back of the net.

87th minute Daley & Hayden are yellow carded for what I can only assume is for talking at the ref for too long, as the footage available is inconclusive.

In the 91st minute Kyle Cassell was handed a yellow for a push in the back, but realistically it was no worse than any other push in the back that had happened numerous times throughout the game from both sides.

Last week's game could have really knocked the team's confidence with how it all went down, but the gaffer has installed a determined attitude throughout the squad which is looking extremely hard to deter.

15 games, 45 goals and only 9 conceded is a real showcase of the identity of this team.
