Telford Town came into this game off the back of a 0-0 draw with fellow title chasers Gornal Athletic whilst Tipton were on the back of a 4-2 defeat at Stourport.
Early in the game there were a couple of chances for both sides with Jack Boswell making a good save for Telford whilst Telford had a couple of half chances that came to nothing. In an otherwise fairly uneventful half Tipton took the lead with a well worked move down the right before a square ball left the Tipton captain with an easy tap in to give the visitors the lead going into the break.
Telford manager Matthew Boswell made changes at half time with top scorer Rune Corinaldi coming off the bench and Telford dominated the ball in the second half but in truth didn't create any clear cut chances against a strong and resolute Tipton backline.Right at the death Joey Nixon had a chance to get a point but a good save from the Tipton keeper foiled that and the 3 points went the way of the Black Country side.
