Telford Town can confirm that today’s game against Ellsemere Rangers ladies was the last for Sienna Wilson as she departs Telford Town Ladies.
Wilson, who has scored 10 goals in 9 appearances this season will be joining FA National Premier league side Sporting Khalsa and manager Elys Davies said “ Of course we are gutted to lose Sienna, she is a superb player and has been great on and off the field all season for us, we simply couldn’t stand in the way of a huge move for her to be joining a side in the third tier of women’s football, she deserves it and we are very proud of her”.
Club chairman Hayden Dando said “ of course nobody want to lose a player as good as Sienna and as a club we are incredibly proud of our ladies section, the first team have been superb all season and to see one of the ladies get such a big move is something we are immensely proud of as we want to be a club where our players can showcase themselves, progress both as a team and individually and that’s exactly what Sienna has done, which is testament to the work being done by the Elys and the team, congratulations Sienna”.
Everyone at Telford Town wishes Sienna the very best on her move!
