Telford Town visit to Windmill Primary School

Adrian Davies5 Apr 2024 - 11:00

Telford players and manager visit Windmill school during half term with Easter eggs!

This week, we had the wonderful opportunity to visit the bright and enthusiastic kids at Windmill Primary School’s Easter holiday Out of School Club. Telford Town Football Club was proudly represented by our First Team Manager Matthew Boswell, club captain Tom Daley, and first team goalkeeper Jack Boswell.

?? The day was filled with joy and laughter as Easter eggs were handed out to all the children, bringing smiles and excitement to their faces. Once the eggs were dished out the kids eagerly participating in a Question and Answer session, curiously asking different questions for the Telford Town players about both football and many other things.

The highlight? Watching the youngsters gear up for some shooting practice against Jack Boswell! Their enthusiasm and energy were infectious, and there were some real talents amongst the kids with Jack exhausted at the end saying “ it’s been great being here with the kids, they were superb at the shooting challenge and I think we may have some future Telford Town players at the school!”.

Matthew, Tom, and Jack were overjoyed by the warm welcome and loved every moment spent with the kids with club captain Daley adding “ giving out the eggs to the kids was great, I was having as much fun as they were and they were so polite and an absolute credit to their parents and the school, one of my best moments as captain of this club”.

Manager Boswell said “ Honestly the kids were brilliant, being involved in the community is something we really want to do as a club and this was one of our first opportunities to do so, I’ve got to say it couldn’t have gone better and the children and staff at Windmill Primary are an absolute delight,
a highlight for me was the Q&A as not only did they have some very good questions but there were also some really funny moments so a brilliant day”.
.

We are incredibly grateful for the invitation and a big thank you to Windmill Primary School for hosting us, and to the amazing kids who made the day unforgettable. We look forward to seeing you all again soon!
