Telford Town are delighted to announce that Manager Matthew Boswell has agreed to stay on with the club for the 2025/26 season along with his coaching staff Steve Travi, Carl Probert and Ben Darrall.
Boswell, took over the club 3 years ago beginning a rebuilding project with a 3 year plan initially and in that time secured an 8th placed finish the first season, 3rd place last season alongside winning the Powell Cup and this season has taken led the club to the JW Hunt cup Quarter Final where we face Dudley Town this evening, the Powell Cup Semi Final in 13 days and the County cup final in May. This alongside currently sitting top of the West Midlands Premier Division going in to our remaining few games of the season.
Chairman Hayden Dando said
“ I am nothing short of delighted that Boz has agreed to stay on as manager of this football club, as a football club it was a no brainier.
What Boz has achieved at the club not just this season but over the 3 years of building before is something I admire along with the work he does that people don’t see behind the scenes for this club. Of course this season has been superb to date in a league with some absolutely fantastic football clubs so to be in the position we are in shows the work and dedication that Boz and his coaching staff give to their roles and I am absolutely delighted we are keeping a manager who is incredibly talented and I am equally as happy that Trav, Pro and Ben are all staying as their work as a team cannot be underestimated, I thank the whole management team for their hard work and commitment and I am excited at what the future holds for us with them at the helm”.
In a statement Boswell said
“I’m delighted to have come to an agreement with the club and to have the opportunity to continue being a part of the project moving forwards.
The fact that my coaching staff have all agreed to stay alongside me is fantastic. I am fortunate to have a great leadership team who all bring different skills to the table, it enables us to make informed footballing decisions and that collaboration has helped the team massively this season. The players will really be the benefactors from our team sticking together, after all, continuity and stability is important after a period of change. We have the right people in the building and I am confident that we can continue to move the club forwards.
I’d like to thank the Chairman and the board for their trust and ongoing faith in us, you know we will do our best at all times for the club. I’d also like to thank my Wife Janine, whose support allows me to continue to give the time to football that I do. Without many people this would not be possible, we the leadership team are all very grateful.
Planning has already begun ahead of next season, there are exciting times ahead for this team and our club, but for now we focus on finishing this season as strongly as possible and delivering on our objectives.”
Congratulations to Boz and his team on their stay at the Key Worker Nation Stadium from everyone at Telford Town.
